In a rapidly changing world, education must evolve. While traditional classroom learning lays a strong foundation, students need more than theory—they need to interact with ideas, problem-solve, and create.
Hands-on learning isn’t an alternative—it’s essential. Build to Learn ensures children don’t just hear about history, science, or engineering—they experience it.
Using LEGO® bricks as a dynamic learning tool, we bring curriculum topics to life—whether it’s reconstructing historical events, solving engineering challenges, or exploring scientific principles. Our workshops complement classroom teaching by providing a hands-on approach that deepens understanding, fuels curiosity, and embeds knowledge for the long term.

From Brickies to Build to Learn: A Journey in Hands-On Education

In 2014, we launched Brickies Club, a LEGO-based play and creativity business that engaged children in storytelling and building challenges. Over the years, we witnessed the natural skills development happening in our workshops—collaboration, resilience, problem-solving—without children even realising they were learning.

As we began working with schools, we saw first-hand the impact of hands-on learning in the classroom, especially for students who struggle with traditional teaching methods. Teachers shared how certain students, who often disengage in regular lessons, came alive during our sessions—demonstrating understanding, creativity, and confidence in new ways.

This experience led to the creation of Build to Learn—a company solely dedicated to delivering high-quality, curriculum-linked educational workshops, not just play-based activities. Our focus is on ensuring hands-on learning becomes an integral part of the classroom experience, not an occasional enrichment session.

Why Hands-On Learning Matters More Than Ever

The landscape of education is shifting. Schools are under pressure to deliver results-driven learning, yet research shows that students retain knowledge better when they actively engage with it.

At the heart of this shift is the need to equip students with the skills of tomorrow—problem-solving, adaptability, and creativity. Build to Learn is committed to ensuring these essential skills are nurtured in every workshop we deliver.

We aren’t just responding to this change—we’re driving it forward.

The Impact We’ve Made

Over 400,000 students engaged through hands-on learning.

Teachers report increased engagement and retention among students, particularly those who struggle with traditional learning methods.

“Build to Learn’s workshops have transformed how my students engage with history. They remember details so much better because they have built the scenes themselves.” — Year 3 Teacher, London

Educators face growing challenges in keeping engagement high while ensuring curriculum objectives are met. Our school workshops provide a structured, interactive approach that deepens learning without adding to teacher workload.

Value for Schools: We understand the constraints of school budgets, which is why our workshops are designed to be cost-effective while delivering high-impact learning experiences.
