Bring the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs to life with this interactive storytelling and LEGO building workshop! This hands-on session helps KS1 students explore story structure, character roles, and descriptive language while engaging in a fun, creative building challenge.
Students will discuss the different materials used by the three pigs, consider how strong structures are built, and use LEGO bricks to construct their own houses to keep the Big Bad Wolf at bay. Hands-On Activity Details
During the 75 minute workshop the students will
Activity 1:
Students participate in a guided building technique of two different types of brick walls: interlocking bricks vs. stacked bricks. We test the strength of both and discuss which technique is best for keeping the Big Bad Wolf out!
Activity 2:
Using their newfound knowledge of building techniques, students take on the challenge of building a LEGO house for the two now homeless little pigs. At the end, students showcase their little pigs’ houses, leaving them with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
